Crystals #1

Digital Media (2048 x 2048 pixels) developed with OpenFrameworks

I created this work by simulating a “reaction-diffusion system” and making manual adjustments over the time that the artwork is generated. Reaction-diffusion is used by scientists to describe a variety of patterns in nature, including the spots on leopards and stripes on zebras. When used in digital art and combined with natural color palettes, the result is both unique and familiar.
